Day 08: Pangong Lake to Leh

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi to Leh.

Arrival at Leh airport, to be received by our representative and transferred to the Hotel. Check in to the hotel for a complete day of rest wherein welcome tea and coffee will be served by the Hotel. Lunch. After lunch visit Leh Market, Leh Palace, Hall of Fame and Shanti Stupa. Overnight in Leh


Day 02: Leh to Sham to Leh (124 Kms / 5-6 Hrs.)
After breakfast drive for full day sightseeing to the Likir, Alchi Monastery, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Hall of Fame museum and Sangam (Confluence of Zanskar & Indus River). Back to Leh by evening. Overnight in Leh


Day 03: Leh – Khardung-la Top – Nubra Valley

Meal: breakfast and dinner

Today after an early breakfast you would be driven to Nubra Valley. Enroute visit Khardung-la-pass, the highest motor able road in the world at 18,380ft. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Arrive at Hunder & check in at Hotel/Camps. Later visit Diskit Village & enjoy the Camel ride on sand dunes. Dinner and overnight stay in Hunder


Day 04: Nubra Valley – Leh

Meal: breakfast and dinner

Today after breakfast, drive to Leh after following the same route via Khardung-la. Check in at Hotel upon arrival. At evening explore Leh market for Shopping. Overnight in Leh


Day 05: Trek to Rumbak Valley (Hemis National Park)

Leh/Spituk/Zingchen 1 hour drive After the breakfast drive to Spituk Bridge behind the Spituk monastery, around 7 kms from Leh town. From Spituk bridge starts the trekking along Indus River walking through flat and desolate plane at the foot of the Stok Mountain. Gradually, you will leave the view of busy Leh-Srinagar highway and move towards wilderness of Himalaya.  Soon you arrive at Zingchen through a gorge, which gives you a feeling of complete isolation.

Zingchen to Yurutse 4 to 5 hours walking distance

Leave Zingchen for Rumbak through a straight forward road; leaving village, you enter Hemis national park for the preservation of Snow leopard, Baharal, marmot, wolf etc. Walk through a narrow trail and valley widens as you arrive Rumbak and camp at Yurutse below Gandala Pass. Overnight in Camp / Home Stay


Day 06: Rumbak Valley / Back to Leh


Day 07: Leh to Pangong Lake (280 Kms / 10-11 Hrs.)  

After early Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft), through Changla Pass 17,350 ft. It is the third highest motor able road in the world. 1200 hrs.  Arrive Pangong, it is the highest salt water Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China. Enjoy the beauty of the lake on the Banks of Pangong while appreciating the changing Colors and fascinating high altitude of the Lake. Overnight in Pangong


Day 08: Pangong Lake to Leh


Day 09:  Leh to Delhi.
Transfer to the airport and fly back to Delhi with Sweet Memories of Ladakh

Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
